2010 Cincinnati Bengals Tickets – Defending the AFC North

Cincinnati Bengals tickets rewarded fans with an AFC North title in 2009 and some exciting football to boot. The Bengals earned the moniker “Cardiac Kids” by managing to tie or win a half a dozen games late in the 4th quarter. It might get even better in the 2010 NFL season for the Bengals and their fans. Cincinnati has all the pieces in place to take on the Steelers and ravens within their division where it really counts. Building around Carson Palmer, Bengals management used trades and the free agent market to bolster the offense. It’s enough to remind Bengals ticket holders of the pass happy days of yore when Palmer and the Bengals looked to have a Super Bowl within reach. 2010 could be a breakout year in Cincinnati and Bengals tickets could take football fans on one wild ride.

2010 Cincinnati Bengals – The Offense

Carson Palmer is a tough quarterback and a good one. He’s excelled in the past few seasons despite injury and adversity. He’s about to get rewarded with weapons. The Bengals relied on Chad Ochocinco and as a result opposing defenses worked to shut #85 down. In 2010 Cincinnati goes into full pass attack mode. The addition of Antonio Bryant gives Carson Palmer another go to guy. In a bold move the Bengals also signed the eternal free agent Terrell Owens to the roster, giving them a dangerous three receiver set. And if rookie Tight end Jermaine Gresham lives up to his potential he could become a big target for Palmer. Happily, the Cincinnati Bengals have found a powerhouse running back in Cedric Benson. With over 300 carries and 1,251 yards to his credit in 2009, Benson is a workhorse and a reliable runner that doesn’t put the ball on the ground.

2010 Cincinnati Bengals Tickets – The Defense

The Bengals finished in the Top 5 in total yards on defense last season, a situation which bodes well for 2010 since the unit is fairly young. When Antwan Odom is healthy he anchors a group of solid players. The Bengals linebackers are also a developing group with Rey Maualuga and Keith Rivers just coming into their own. While this group applies pressure on the running game and the quarterback, Cincinnati can depend on corners Leon hall and Johnathan Joseph to keep opposing receivers in check. At times in 2009 it was up to the Bengals defense to win the game and they responded well. The pressure will be on again in 2010 as Cincinnati looks to repeat as AFC North Champions and sets their sights on going even further in the playoffs.
