Denver Nuggets Tickets – Making Their Move

The Denver Nuggets feel like they’ve got the team that can challenge in the West. With Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony together for a full season the thinking around Denver is that the duo can combine to push Denver into the upper level. It could have happened last year but injury and other issues kept the Nuggets from reaching their full potential. Running into the Spurs in the 1st Round didn’t help either. The 2007-08 NBA campaign will feature the big push in Denver because Iverson isn’t getting any younger. Hold on to your Denver Nuggets tickets. This could be your year.

Are the Denver Nuggets Stacked?

Allen Iverson may be past 30 but he shows no signs of slowing down, finishing second in scoring on the Nuggets with 26.3 points and first with7.2 assists. This season he’ll get a new shadow as Chuck Atkins comes over fromMemphis. How the can perform defensively will be an issue as neither has the height to man up on the larger guards in the West.

Carmelo Anthony made the NBA All Star team for the first time last season and led the Nuggets on offense. If he can hold his temper in check and avoid the suspensions that cost him 15 games last season he’ll be even more of a force this year. There’s also the problem of whether he can co-exist with Iverson for a full season without flare-ups over who’s going to get the ball.

Marcus Camby excels on defense and appears to be healthy. He is getting up in age though, another reason Denver needs to make their move soon. Nene is coming back from a knee injury and Kenyon Martin is getting good reports on his work ethic so Nuggets ticket holders may have a team that’s beginning to jell here.

Denver Nuggets Tickets and the Western Conference

Denver’s success will hinge not only on Iverson and Anthony working well together but on getting more help from the supporting cast. The Nuggets like to play hard and fast, a formula that worked well in the regular season. Against teams like San Antonioand Dallasthough, Denverhad a hard time maintaining the pace. Better defense could cure that problem. Are Nuggets tickets on a roll that will take them past the 1st Round in the NBA Playoffs?
