2013 Kansas City Chiefs Tickets – Pick Your Game
If the Chiefs are going to influence the outcome of the AFC West race it’s going to start quickly as Kansas City Chiefs opens the season at Arrowhead with the San Diego Chargers. Of course there will be the home and away series with the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders also. Other big games in Arrowhead will be a shot at the upstart 49ers and the defending NFC West Champion Arizona Cardinals.

Kansas City Chiefs Tickets – The Dry Spell is Over
After a long dry spell Kansas City Chiefs tickets delivered change in 2009. While that change didn’t result in a winning season, the Chiefs were 4-12; it may have marked the transition to a winning attitude and a winning program. The changes continue on into the 2010 NFL season as Head Coach Todd Haley brought in old friend Charlie Weiss to turn around the Chiefs offense. Weiss was Offensive Coordinator for the Patriots when they won three Super Bowls so Haley is entrusting the offensive to a proven performer. It’s all part of the Kansas City Chiefs shedding the burden of going 10-38 over the last three seasons. While the Chiefs may not be quite ready to be tagged a Super Bowl team, they do have all the appearance of a team headed in the right direction. That alone makes Kansas City Chiefs tickets one of the more intriguing NFL tickets in 2010.
Looking to the offense, the quarterback position is going to be crucial in 2010. Matt Cassel performed effectively in 2009, at least as effectively as the talent around him allowed. Cassel is a big quarterback which gives him the ability to see the field and he has the strength to get the ball into deep coverage. His mobility is good, giving him a shot at evading the rush and maybe gaining yardage on the ground. But Cassel took a beating behind a poor offensive line and took 42 sacks. The up side is that you can bank on Charlie Weiss giving him better protection in 2010 and Cassel should up his stats accordingly.
What 2009 really did for the Kansas City Chiefs was give them a chance to discover Jamaal Charles. Dumping Larry Johnson allowed Charles to get more playing time and it paid off in spades. Over the course of the last eight games Jamaal Charles racked up almost 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns. Using his natural quickness to evade tacklers and his speed to burst through the line, Charles also excels as a pass catcher. He’s the complete package but will need some relief, so the Chiefs signed ex-jets running back Thomas Jones to be the pounder. Jones had 1,400+ yards last season and still has plenty of gas left in the tank. The combination of these two, along with improved play from Matt Cassel, makes Kansas City Chiefs tickets the dark horse in the AFC West race.
