San Francisco 49ers Tickets – Singletary Imposes His Will
San Francisco 49ers tickets may be the best way to see the NFC West divisional contest that’s shaping up. Since Mike Singletary took over the 49ers have been undergoing a transition to a tough, hardnosed NFL team, much like their coach. Singletary demands an all out effort, attention to detail, and loyalty. For the first time in years San Francisco has maintained a roster and a coaching staff from the previous season. With most of the big pieces in place the San Francisco 49ers appear fully capable of challenging the Cardinals for the NFC West title. Singletary will be using a tough running game, timely passing from Alex Smith, and the emergence of Michael Crabtree to carry the 49ers to their first playoff spot since the days of old. It’s a ride 49ers ticket holders have been waiting for.
2010 San Francisco 49ers Tickets – The Offense
The San Francisco 49ers have the advantage of Frank Gore, a tough runner with enough moxie to carry the load. Gore has been amazing, topping the 1,000 yard mark in each of the past four NFL seasons. His continued health depends on his getting a break though, and #2 man Glen Coffee spent the offseason bulling up in order to assume his share of the duties. Quarterback Alex Smith finally gets a chance to run the same offense two years in a row. Entering the final year of his contract gives Smith plenty of incentive to work hard and perform well. He’s got the size and arm for an NFL quarterback but now needs to develop the savvy. As insurance, Singletary signed David Carr as a backup.
Perhaps the most exciting and potential laden unit on the 49ers is the receivers. Michael Crabtree will have some experience and the benefit of a full training camp in 2010. Not a blazer, Crabtree is nonetheless reliable and has a knack for getting separation from a defender. Tight End Vernon Davis is the speed demon on the 49ers. His 13 touchdown performance last season was a career high, and the current offense fits his skill set well. Adding Ted Ginn Jr. should give Alex Smith the downfield target he’s been lacking and Josh Morgan is expected to play a larger role as well.
2010 San Francisco 49ers Tickets – The Defense
You’d expect a Mike Singletary coached team to get better on defense and that’s exactly what’s happened. San Francisco allowed less than 18 points per game in 2009 and prevented an offensive touchdown five times. Pro Bowl linebacker Patrick Willis can deal with both the run and the pass while veteran Takeo Spikes still has enough left to provide support. Manny Lawson and Parys Haralson made strides from the OLB position in 2009 and should be better in 2010. The secondary is a steady group which will benefit from the talent of free safety Taylor Mays out of USC. Mike Singletary has put together a lunch bucket defense that plays hard and keeps coming. It’s a big reason to bank on 49ers tickets in 2010.
