New York Knicks Tickets – Adding the Missing Piece
New York Knicks tickets got better last season as the Knicks increased their win total to 33. While not stellar it was certainly an improvement. If not for a swoon at the end of the regular season New York could have landed a playoff spot. The shortfall and the controversy during the season was enough reason for the Knicks to dump Larry Brown and bring Isiah Thomas for a shot at making Knicks tickets winners again. Thomas’ answer was to add forward Zach Randolph to the mix, giving the Knicks two talented big men who should greatly improve play under the basket.

Putting Zach Randolph together with Eddie Curry means Knicks ticket holders will witnesses to the application of the Twin Towers concept. Randolph comes over from Portland where he put up over 23 points an outing and was usually in double figures in rebounds. He was also somewhat of a headache off of the court. Eddie Curry had career numbers in 2006-07 with 19.5 points and 7.1 rebounds. The thinking is that opposing defenses can stop one or the other but not both of the Knicks big men. It’s been done before with success. If Thomas can blend his parts together seasmlessly, Knicks tickets will get a major boost.

Isiah Thomas has plenty to work with. Besides Curry and Randolph the Knicks can also depend on Stephon Marbury to put up good numbers. More importantly, Marbury seems to have bought into the team concept, abandoning his showboat style and playing team offense while improving his defensive game. Making this roster work could be a problem though. Curry and Randolph will have to find a groove. Marbury and Jamal Crawford will have to work on their passing game and get the ball inside where the Knicks hope to dominate. New York also faces some challenges within the NBA’s Atlantic Division where Boston and New Jersey look like contenders. It’s up to Isiah Thomas to make it work. If he does, Knicks ticket holders are in for a good run.
